Vanessa Lawrence

Artist Bio

Artist's Statement

My passion is to create works of art that evoke deep emotion and capture the human spirit through expression.  I currently work in graphite, charcoal and colored pencil.  As an artist, I am drawn to realism and strive to emulate this in each of my pieces.  I also enjoy the whimsical side of art that captures moments that warm the heart, moments that are fleeting and often overlooked.

Art is my deepest passion.  As a child I was drawn to creating imaginary worlds, places that have no boundaries.  Using only a pencil and newsprint, I would often get lost in my art, never wanting to stop until I created what was inside of me.
